The lack of new varieties that cover in a satisfactory way the exigencies of the producers and consumers constitutes the main reason for Cultivos y Semillas el Aceituno to research and develop new and more efficient seeds.

Therefore, Cultivos y Semillas el Aceituno initiated the research program, oriented towards the genetic improvement, with the selection of genotypes that adapt to different climate conditions of the rice zones, using innovating and efficient methods.

Our mission is to develop crops with superior agronomic characteristics that will deliver new alternatives for producer and consumers.

Our vision is to consolidate as an entity able to access the best technology for the development and obtaining new seeds that will satisfy all the components from the rice supply chain in Colombia and other countries.
