About Us

El Aceituno is a company dedicated to the agricultural business, started 45 years ago by visionaries who constructed a small irrigation district with more than 40 Kilometers, transforming unproductive lands into an important regional development project.

170 kilometers away from Bogotá and 20 kilometers away from Ibague, the state capital.

El Aceituno is located in the epicenter of one of the most important rice zones, called “Meseta de Ibague”, recognized by its high productivity and principally rice quality.

The operations are performed in a very technical way using organic installments, soil conservation practices and the rational use of the water resources, reducing to the lowest the impact to the environment and fomenting the preservation of plats and animals.

El Aceituno has an important social function, generating 250 direct jobs and more than 100 indirect jobs. We are very committed to foment the local development.
